My mom sent out a prayer request this morning. You may remember praying for my cousin Abby's daughter, Emma, when she was attacked by the dog? Well, Abby's dad, Mike, is my first cousin and Emma's grandfather. Mike needs prayer for his family. They are having a difficult time in their family right now. Emma is still recovering from the dog attack and now they've discovered that Mike has colon cancer. To make matters worse, Abby's SIL is in the hospital because she has gone into premature labor with her first baby. Here's the message I received:

"Mike Northrup will have surgery for colon cancer today at 12:30 p.m. His daughter-in-law, Hailey (Cody's wife), is in the hospital after her water broke Saturday night. Their baby is not due for two months, and doctors are trying to prevent the birth for one more week while they give steriods to "mature" it's lungs. Please pray for this family. There's just too much on them right now. You may pass this on to your prayer warriors. Blessings, Carolyn"
